I think those puffy white things are called clouds.

Living in Southern California is sometimes tough for a photographer because the skies are always clear (place smallest violin joke here). So when there is a possibility of clouds in the sky, we try to take full advantage of them. Here are some pictures from my last engagement session with the lovely Bailey & Ryan. Please enjoy.

Debbie & Eric's Wedding

It was a pleasure photographing Debbie and Eric on their wedding day. We began at a very cute little church in Long Beach for the ceremony and then concluded at the beautiful Huntington Beach Hyatt. Below is a little slide show I made for them that contains some of my favorite pictures from their special day.

"Curly Haired" Assistant

I wanted to take a minute an tell everyone about my new assistant. She is very cute and dresses very nicely. She definitely knows what she wants and she won't take no for an answer. Her favorite movie is WALL-E. She loves technology (daddy's computer). She likes to experiment with "equipment" around the house. She will stand up for herself (she has 3 brothers) and she doesn't mind getting down and dirty. And at last but not least, bad smells don't seem to bother her. So if you forget that ever important deodorant on your wedding day, she won't mind one bit. I captured a couple of pictures of her in action.

Notice her happy disposition.

Here she is hard at work.

Checking her pictutres!

Satisfied with a job well done.

Night Shoot in Seal Beach

Last week I went with my family to San Diego for a much needed vacation. Although, when you have 4 kids under the age of 4 I would not call it a relaxing vacation, but it was fun none the less. I hope to post some pictures from my vacation soon. This past Saturday night I met my friends on Main St. in Seal Beach after their wedding. I arrived a little early (11:45PM) and took some moody night photos. The lighting is so different at night. Things that look ordinary and aren't noticed during the day, often will come to life at night. Once my friends arrived, I took some of them as well. The night seems so much more romantic. I hope you enjoy. Click on the images for larger versions.

Bride & Groom with "Kids"

A couple of my friends wanted some pictures with their "kids." So I obliged and took them to my parents backyard. The first two pictures were my favorites. As you can see by the third picture, the "kids" didn't always follow the directions. Thanks Trisha & Brent.

Welcome To Marsylas Photography

Hi, my name is Brian Hamilton and I'm the co-owner of Marsylas Photography Studio with my good friend Mike Steffens. I am not at the studio right now because I am watching my sick kids. In fact three of my four kids are sick with high temperatures and sore throats. So if this first entry is a little disjointed, I am probably attending to one of them. You would think that watching three sick kids would be hard. Well, not so much because my older set of twins are laying around watching TV, and my younger set of twins are asleep in their beds. Today is not as hard as when all four kids are actively "playing" around the house. Yes, my wife and I (pray for us) have two sets of twins, 31/2 year old boys and a 14 month old boy and girl.  Anyway, in this blog I will tell you all about my photography studio, pictures, and services, as well as posts that help you get to know me a little bit better. I hope you enjoy my blog and if you ever want to talk, don't hesitate to contact me. I better go, my daughter Brooke is waking up.  Picture you soon.

Sincerely,
Brian Hamilton
